Fette was founded in the Altona district of Hamburg in 1908. In 1952, it moved its headquarter to Schwarzenbek, a small town with a population of 14,000 lying approx. 40 kilometers to the east of Hamburg. It employs around 1100 people, including 50 apprentices.
